Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

maka menyesallah TUHAN, bahwa Ia telah menjadikan manusia di bumi, dan hal itu memilukan hati-Nya.


MENYESALLAH TUHAN

 Secara manusiawi pengarang menerangkan bahwa kekudusan Allah sama sekali tidak menanggung dosa. Tafsiran yang terlampau harafiah tercegah dalam 1Sa 15:29. Dalam Kitab Suci ungkapan "Allah menyesal" biasanya berarti: murka Allah mereda sehingga Allah membatalkan ancamanNya, lih Yer 26:3+.
